Lydia Tsiakiri is a 2nd year PhD Student in the Department of Political Science at Aarhus University. She is also a member of the Centre for the Experimental-Philosophical Study of Discrimination (CEPDISC). Lydia Tsiakiri earned her Master of Science in Bioethics with distinction from King’s College London, while her undergraduate background is in Philosophy. She works in Bioethics and Political Philosophy; in particular, her main research interests include luck egalitarianism, personal responsibility, ethical aspects of scarce resource allocation, and discrimination. She is currently working on the 2nd paper of her PhD dissertation that focuses on whether responsibility-sensitive healthcare policies (RSHPs) constitute cases of (wrongful) discrimination. While visiting the Oxford Uehiro Centre for Practical Ethics, her primary aim will be to work on two papers on RSHPs and discrimination under Dr Rebecca Brown’s supervision.
