Hatice graduated from the Islamic Studies Department at Istanbul Sehir University in 2017 and holds a master's degree in the History of Religions from Marmara University in Türkiye (2020) and Jewish Studies from the University of Haifa in Israel (2021). She began her DPhil in Philosophy and Religious Sciences at Istanbul University in November 2020. Her research is supported by the Turkiye Diyanet Foundation Centre for Islamic Studies (İSAM). Her thesis aims to examine whether the understanding of the human body in Judaism underwent a substantial transformation following the introduction of genetic enhancement technology, as well as the religious and ethical issues within contemporary Judaism associated with genetic enhancement.
