Cinara Nahra is Professor of Philosophy at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (Brazil) where she has been teaching and carrying out research on normative and applied Ethics for many years. Her previous work includes issues on the dualism of practical reason, deontoutilitarianism, altruism, moral enhancement, neuroethics, immortality of the body, discrimination against women and others. She is currently working on finding a common ground between utilitarian and deontological principles in the search for an ethical model capable of establishing which are (or should be) the ´good` values of humanity.
