Keith Gibel is a Captain in the United States Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps and he currently serves as a Professor of National Security Law at the Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School in Charlottesville, Virginia, United States. Keith’s teaching portfolios cover international and domestic law topics such as Constitutional War Powers, Geneva Convention IV / Occupation, Law of the Sea, and China Military Strategy and Law. Keith received a LLM (Environmental Law) from Lewis & Clark, a JD (Law Degree) from New England Law, and a BA (History, Philosophy) from Franklin & Marshall College, before pursuing a MSt Practical Ethics at Oxford University as a member of Kellogg College. While Keith is interested in studying ethics related to artificial intelligence and space exploration in the future, he is currently writing his dissertation on the moral exploitation of teachers during the global pandemic.
