Owen is a Medical Practitioner, Health Lawyer and 2020 Fulbright Future Scholar who aspires to solve complex dilemmas at the intersection of medicine, ethics, and the law. Owen’s MSt in Practical Ethics thesis examines the concept of the intersts and welfare of the child to be born with respect to assisted reproductive treatments. He has recently been appointed Chief Medical Officer of the Medical Indemnity Protection Society, and is also Chairperson of the Patient Review Panel and a Member of the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare Ethics Committee. In his spare time, Owen enjoys playing the violin and is a member of the World Doctors’ Orchestra.
