Gary O'Brien is a research assistant professor of Philosophy at Lingnan University and a fellow of the Hong Kong Catastrophic Risk Centre. His research interests include population ethics, longtermism, wild animal ethics, and the ethics of new technologies. He completed his DPhil at the Oxford Uehiro Centre for Practical Ethics at the University of Oxford.
