Stephen Walker has over 30 years research, development and business experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with Novartis, Gilead and GSK. Senior level positions held include Head of Operations R&D UK, Global Head of Exploratory Development Project Management and Global Head of Early Development Operations, responsible for the delivery of all early phase clinical trials and the implementation of clinical trial transparency across the whole of Novartis. Stephen joined London Advanced Therapies based at King’s College London in 2019, to manage project programmes and institutional partnerships in Advanced Therapies. He holds a First Class BSc in Biological Sciences and a PhD in Experimental Medicine from the University of Leicester, and an MBA from the University of Brighton. Stephen is currently studying for an MSt in Practical Ethics and plans to investigate the Ethics around cell and gene therapy clinical research and the implications for the future.
