In partnership with the experienced guides at Uncomfortable Oxford Dr Jonathan Pugh, a philosopher from the Uehiro Oxford Institute, offers you this thought-provoking walking tour exploring Oxford’s medical history. The tour invites you to consider the ethical questions surrounding medical progress — and to explore how the past continues to shape contemporary debates in medical ethics. Dr Pugh will be raising additional questions around research ethics and public health ethics and will open the tour to wider conversations about practical ethics more generally.

Wonder Wander is Thoughtful’s annual walking-and-talking fundraiser. Each year Thoughtful staff take philosophical enquiry into new communities and raise money to fund the classes, teacher training and resources that keep P4C (Philosophy for Children) growing across the UK. Past Wonder Wanders have funded after-school philosophy clubs and sessions for care-experienced young people.
