Ben leads a research group in the ethics of AI at Ludwigs-Maximilian-Universität München and the Munich Center for Machine Learning (MCML). He is also a Fellow at the LMU's Centre for Ethics and Philosophy in Practice (ZEPP) and a Visiting Researcher on Google's Responsible Innovation Team. Ben received his D.Phil. in Philosophy from St. Anne's College, his B.Phil from Lady Margaret Hall, and his BSc. from the London School of Economics and Political Science. His research focuses on normative and practical ethics, business ethics, and the ethics of AI and technology. Complementing his applied research interests, Benjamin has extensive experience in strategic ethics advisory and consulting. In this role, he provides strategic and operational advice to organisations on corporate ethics and compliance, corporate social responsibility (CSR), corporate digital responsibility (CDR), digital ethics, and the ethics of AI and responsible innovation.
