Valentin Muresan is a professor of moral philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Bucharest and Director of the Center of Applied Ethics. He is also Director of the Doctoral School in Philosophy, University of Bucharest and Director of the Romanian Journal of Analytic Philosophy. Mureșan has authored 14 books, edited or co-edited another 14, and translated from R. M. Hare, G. Moore, D. Ross, H. Prichard, B. Williams, J. Lucas, R. Crisp, etc. He also translated and edited Mill’s Utilitarianism and a volume of Millian essays. His book British Moral Philosophy, which was co-edited with Alan Montefiore, is, alongside his other books, a standard reference for the students from the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Bucharest. His main areas of study are Kant’s moral philosophy, ethics management and bio-moral enhancement.
