Preben Sørheim (BA, MA) is a PhD-candidate at the Department of Philosophy, University of Bergen, Norway. He is also affiliated with the Bergen Center for Ethics and Priority Setting (BCEPS) at the Faculty of Medicine. He was previously a research assistant at the Department of Global Public Health and Primary (Bergen) working on health financing in Scandinavia. His research concerns the value of longevity and premature death in health policy and other policy areas. His research interests are within bioethics, distributive justice, the philosophy of death, inequalities in health, and the welfare state. (You can access his research profile here.)
