Title: Irresponsibly Infertile
Abstract: Treatment for infertility is provided through the NHS, but restricted on the basis of a number of factors including age, body mass index, and smoking status. In this paper, I consider the justification for such exclusion criteria for access to assisted reproductive technology, and explore the role responsibility should play in making decisions about resource allocation in the context of infertility.
